Steel Pipe Reducer

A steel pipe reducer is a fitting used in piping systems to connect two pipes of different diameters. It allows for a smooth transition from a larger diameter pipe to a smaller diameter pipe (or vice versa) while maintaining the flow of fluid or gas through the system. Reducers are commonly used in various applications, including plumbing, HVAC, oil and gas, and industrial processes.

Types of Steel Pipe Reducers:

1. Concentric Reducer:
- The center of the smaller pipe is aligned with the center of the larger pipe. This type is often used in vertical piping systems.

2. Eccentric Reducer:
- The smaller pipe is offset from the center of the larger pipe. This type is typically used in horizontal piping systems to maintain a consistent top or bottom level, which helps in draining and venting.

Materials:
Steel pipe reducers can be made from various types of steel, including:
- Carbon Steel: Commonly used for general applications.
- Stainless Steel: Used in corrosive environments or where hygiene is a concern.
- Alloy Steel: Used in high-temperature or high-pressure applications.
